- Glide gently along the gumline and tooth surfaces—no pressure needed
- Let the vibrations do the work—the device stops automatically on soft tissue (gums) for safety
- Move continuously—don't hold in one spot for more than 2-3 seconds
- Work systematically—clean one quadrant at a time (upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left)
- Rinse frequently to remove loosened debris
